Our Story
Weed Eraser was founded in 1997 by Pat Leigh, a retired Fireman from the city of Taylor. Pat originally began vegetation control as a hobby in his retirement. He found he really enjoyed working outside, working with people, and the beautiful effects of eliminating unwanted vegetation. As people noticed the results of his work, they started asking him for help with their own vegetation problems. Thus began Weed Eraser, Inc.
We are a unique business in Michigan. We specialize in "Crack & Crevice" and "Bareground" herbicide applications at industrial / commercial sites, and apartment complexes as well as at school systems, municipalities, storage lots, and dealerships. We focus on roadways, sidewalks, curbs, parking lots, fence lines, gravel areas, etc. We also control/remove scrub trees, brush, vines, shrubs, and any other unwanted vegetation. Other specialties we offer are: Poison ivy treatments, and Phragmites & Invasive Species control. We are environmentally conscious and all applicators are state licensed & certified through MDARD (Michigan Department of Agriculture and Rural Development)
Weed Eraser is licensed in categories 6 (right of ways), 5 (aquatics), 3B (ornamentals), and 3A (turf) and is a proud member of the MGIA (Michigan Green Industry Association).
All employees are subject to a possible pre-employment drug screening as well as random drug testing. Several crews also undergo background checks to comply with the Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS) Chemical Facility Anti-Terrorism Standards (CFATS).

Weed Eraser's estimator Pat came to our site and was very thorough on going over their spraying procedures an measuring up our lot for a firm quote. When we agreed to their estimate and got on the schedule they came out with a crew led by Tom. Started spraying on a Friday and we started to see results on the following Monday. Because of being two yards they finished up on that Monday taking care of fence lines, in between equipment and growth in pavement cracks. Tom was very pleasant to work with and the final results were outstanding. I will be making sure they return to keep our yards under control for years to come. Thanks!
